Driven by its passion for nature and its love of outdoor sports, this young couple decided to build a cottage in the rugged region of Saint-Alexis-des-Monts, in Mauricie. Facing the lake, the weekend home was designed by one of Planimage's architectural technologists according to the owners' needs. With its stone and wood facing, the house looks warm and friendly, and perfectly adapted to its natural environment. The owners chose solar energy and added a fireplace and a wood stove to heat the house during the winter. Inside the home, wood is the main element complemented by several large windows that let the sunlight flow in. The interior design is comfortable and promotes a feeling of well-being, wich is exactly what the owners wanted.
