The owners wanted to enhance the look of their home and make it more stylish. In order to break the structure's rather cold one-dimensional feeling, they wanted a facing with a warmer texture and added height. This is what was recommended.
Planimage's experts suggested various exterior materials and colors. The owners finally chose a beige cement parging that was warmer than the original vertical vinyl siding. Precast stone in shades of warm brown, as attractive as natural stone but less expensive, was used to surround the windows and to cover the chimney. The same stone was used for the two gables that were added above the windows to give the building an impression of volume. Finally, the front door was replaced to match the rest of the house. The new overall appearance of the home makes it look bigger and gives it a distinctively elegant look.
